Date Night With Wes Anderson

While I don't take a whole lot of pictures I still want to document fun activities that we do.  I will, however, try to do better at taking more pictures.

Last night Mike and I went on a double date with some friends, Eric and Yukiko. We ate at an Ethiopian restaurant, The Blue Nile, in downtown Salt Lake City. Their menu can be found here: Blue Nile. Mike and I found this restaurant over a year ago and have been excited to go back. The food is very filling and flavorful and you get to eat it all with just your hands. It is a very fun and unique experience.

Afterwards we grabbed some really delicious macaroons from Gourmandise,  http://gourmandisethebakery.com/.  This place is a favorite of mine and while I was full from dinner there is always room in my stomach for sweets.

After that we headed to the Broadway theater, http://saltlakefilmsociety.org/  where we saw "The Grand Budapest Hotel", a Wes Anderson film.  He has been an all time favorite director of mine with amazing films such as: The Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Royal Tenenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom. His writing is so fantastic and the scenery is always so colorful and unique. While I cannot recommend the film because of it's rating and some strong language, it did not disappoint and is another fantastic Wes Anderson film. The cast included incredible actors such as Bill Murray, Jude Law, Ralph Fiennes, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Edward Norton, and Tilda Swinton.  The story line was captivating and the dialogue was brilliant.
