We LOVE hiking, and we love taking our dog hiking. It wears her out so much and she just loves it. That is one of the reason we love Millcreek Canyon. They allow dogs! This hike is a 4.4 moderate level hike that takes you to a beautiful overlook of the Salt Lake valley. The trailhead is easy to find as there are signs pointing you to the Desolation Trail Overlook. It is a beautiful hike with good tree coverage most of the way.
